September 6th, Tuesday, was a big day for Meagan and Natalie. It was their first day of school! Mommy didn't get to take them because she was on her way to Germany for two weeks. It was hard for me not to be there to take them to their first day of school, but at least Daddy and Aunt Terrell got to take them. I know it was special for them! Daddy wrote me an email about the first day and I will just copy and paste it here:
Daddy and Tia got the girls dressed for their first day of school and took pictures. We all went to the church and the girls recognized Ms. Lucy's room and went in right away while Tia and Daddy put up their mats. lunches, the girls found their toys. Daddy and Tia left and the girls didn't really get upset at all. Daddy took off work to come pick up the girls with Tia and as soon as we walked in the door, Natalie saw us and ran up to Tia (who was the closest to her) with her arms up for Tia to hold her. Meagan turned around and saw us, but didn't really think too much of it and just went back to playing. Daddy walked over to her to get her. When he got to her she gave him a big hug. The teacher (Ms. Lucy) might have had the girls confused, because she told Daddy and Tia that Meagan cried a few times during the day, but we think she meant Natalie because Meagan wasn't acting upset at all. The teacher also said that Natalie wouldn't stay laying down during nap time and that sounded like Meagan. Also their lunches were mixed up, so we think they gave Natalie Meagan's lunch and vice versa. Daddy asked Natalie if she met some friends and she said 'Yah', then he asked her if she liked Ms. Lucy and she said 'yah', then he asked if she wanted to go back to school again and she said 'yah!' in an excited way. When we got home, we called Mommy using skype to do a video chat and we got to see Oma, Mommy and Aunt Tara. Then Tia Terrell took us in the stroller down to the grocery store to pick up some spaghetti for dinner, and she came back and we watched Daddy mow the lawn. We also found Mommy's plane on flight tracker on the internet and watched her as she flew over the ocean. Tia made dinner and we watched some cartoons on TV and then took a bath and got ready for bed. Natalie was a little fussy at night time. She was saying 'momma' and during her arms like asking 'where is she?' Daddy laid on the floor in the girls room while they went to sleep.
Sounds like they had a great first day of school!!
