Saturday ~ We spent some time with Oma and Opa in the morning. That was nice! Grandma, Aunt Terrell and Bryan came over to see the girls. We took pictures and talked, it was a good morning. Then Daddy and I let Opa and Oma babysit while we went into Fredericksburg. We went to their hotel and Aunt Celeste, Uncle Kelly and Cousin Cade were waiting there for us. It was so good to see everyone. They unloaded and then we were all hungry for lunch, so we ate at a German restaurant on Main Street. It was really good, but it took awhile. It was fun playing with Cade! After we left there, Matt, Terrell, Bryan, Kathleen and I drove to Luckenbach and walked around there. I sat on a real live Longhorn (guess I shouldn't tell my aggie friends that, hahaha). We all had a beer, except for Terrell, she was driving. It was fun!! We drove out to my parents house afterwards and Celeste, Kelly and Cade met us out there. We ate sandwiches for dinner and played outside with Cade. Everyone watched the Texas/Texas Tech game. Aunt Terrell and Oma helped give the girls baths tonight. It was a wonderful night!
Sunday ~ Yay!!! The girls get baptized today!!! They are getting baptized in dresses from Matt's side of the family. Natalie wore a dress that Grandma, Great Aunt Janet, Aunt Celeste and Aunt Terrell wore for their baptisms. Meagan wore the dress that Cousin Cade wore on his baptism day last year. Daddy and I rode with Natalie and Meagan to the church and sat with family, Oma and Opa, Aunt Tara and Jason, Aunt Terrell and Bryan, Grandma, Great Aunt Margie and Uncle Bill and Morgan. The girls had their bottles in church and we stayed for the whole service. That was the first time the girls had been to church!! :) Meagan made us laugh in church with her silly faces! After church we walked over to the older church for the girls baptism. There was even more family waiting in there. This church is so beautiful with light blue windows!! My great-great-great-great-grandfather even made the cross that is on top of the church. The god-parents of Natalie are Tara and Shannon and the god-parents of Meagan are Terrell and Morgan. All of us stood in the front of the church with the Deacon. The girls were great, Natalie cried just a little bit at the end, but they both liked the water being poured on them. They each got a candle and white and red bibs from the church. There were so many family members in the church that the Deacon joked about it being another mass. :) At the end, we took pictures and then headed to Opa and Oma's house for a get together. Most of my family hadn't met the girls yet, so this was a great time to do so. Lisa, my surrogate, even came with some of her family. My extended family helped make all the food to go along with the BBQ that my Uncle Curtis made. It all turned out really really good!! I was stuffed as I always get when my family cooks!! =) My cousin, Nicole, made two cakes with crosses and they turned out just beautiful and yummy!! I am so happy that everything turned out so well and very thankful for all that everyone did for us. My girls and Matt and I are truly truly blessed. My family enjoyed getting to meet the little ones, it was so much fun! All good things have to come to an end though, so we had to say goodbye to Oma and Opa to head back towards home. Rihana rode with us again and sat with the girls in the back. They had fun! We took a detour in Austin and went to visit my friend Sarah and her husband, Jeff and their little baby girl, Samantha. It was the first time for them to meet Natalie and Meagan. Sarah and Rihana helped feed the girls and then we took some pictures. It was so good to see Sarah!! We then headed home again. This was such a great weekend!! I know I enjoyed it just as much as my girls did!!! Thank you again to everyone!!!
Love Always,
Matt, Melissa, Natalie and Meagan =)
