Happy 4th of July and Natalie and Meagan's 2nd Birthday Party!

Monday, July 4th, we were still at Oma and Opa's house visiting. Oma and Opa got the girls up and fed. Daddy and I packed and loaded up the car. We dressed the girls in some 4th of July shirts, cute! Around 10am we met up with Omie and Opie on Main Street to watch the 4th of July parade. We all sat together and had a great time! The girls liked looking at all the people, cars, horses and tractors going by. Someone even gave them little American Flags to wave around. After the parade, we decided to go eat lunch at Andy's Restaurant for lunch with Oma, Opa, Omie and Opie. We even ran into Jazz and his girlfriend, Jenny, there. The food was great and the girls did really good. Omie always comments on how good they act!! :) We said our goodbyes to everyone and then we headed back toward Grandma's house. Grandma needed us to go get a table from Great Grandpa's house, so we left the girls there and Daddy and I went together to get the table. We said hi to Great Grandpa and then headed back over to Grandma's. Daddy went to work for a little bit and the girls and I hung out with Grandma. We had dinner from Subway and then we gave the girls a bath. I came home and got the girls ready for bed. We had a great day!

Tuesday, the girls and I ran some errands this morning. We went to Sam's, to the bank and to Wal-Mart to buy things for the girls birthday party this weekend. We ran into Marcy at Sam's with her two, Brady and Katie. I bought them mats for school today, so they can get used to sleeping on them during nap time before they start in September. They slept on them today to!

They were excited. We came home after our errands and had lunch. They took a later nap today. It took awhile for them to fall asleep, so they sleep late today. After their nap, we just relaxed, it was too hot outside to play. I made some dinner tonight. I got the girls ready for bed and then Daddy came home after his meeting. He got to play with the girls for a little bit before they went to bed. Girls like to play with the magnets that are on the door before they got to bed. I checked on the girls before I went to bed and as soon as I walked in the door Natalie's pointer finger went up and she pointed at the door because she wanted to come out there. It was funny!

Wednesday, Laundry Day!!! We played and ran around the coffee table chasing each other. After nap, we headed over to Grandma LaLa's to bring some birthday stuff to drop off and to also eat dinner. She was having a meeting about her lot next door, so I took the girls outside to play. It was so hot, but they were having fun playing in the sand and playing with chalk. They also played with the car, the fans and balls. It rained while we were out there, it was nice. After they had their meeting, I bought the girls inside and talked to Jeff and his wife about the lot and Grandma's house. They left and then Daddy came over. He cooked some steaks and Grandma made some other things including some cake. We all ate dinner and the cake was yummy!! I unloaded my car and we had fun playing. Meagan and Natalie were playing with Percy's water and spilt it. They were just into everything tonight. Came home and on the way, Natalie saw the moon outside her window and kept saying 'Moon, Moon'. We put them to bed and then I went shopping at Wal-Mart. When I came back home, I checked on the girls and Natalie was sleeping by the door. It is usually Meagan.

Thursday, I took the girls to the Bryan Library for Story time and there were some Brazos Valley Bomber players there to read some stories. We saw Kelly there with her kiddos and Tanya with Erika. We left a little early because the girls were being antsy!! We went to Toys-R-Us and went to Costumer Service and I had a card that told me to tell them it was the girls birthday, so they got to wear crowns and got two balloons. We shopped around a little bit and I got the girls some dry erase boards with crayons. I had a coupon, so I used it to buy those. While we were shopping, a lady came on over the loud speaker and announced Natalie and Meagan's names, it was sweet. We left and came home to have lunch. We all took a nap today!! After nap, just played inside and I made some salmon for dinner. Daddy came home and ate and played a lot with the girls. It was sweet. The girls helped to clean up a little bit, but I did most of it! Bath time and after their bath, they like to use their step stool to get in and out of the bathtub now. They still do it with our help a little bit, but they are pretty good. Bed time after they had their milk and teeth brushed. Later on, Meagan was sleeping by the door. I started putting together their favors tonight in little Mickey Mouse bags. The favors included Mickey Mouse flashcards, a sticker, a Mickey/Minnie Mouse Magnet and then a picture of our family.

Friday, we played at home all day, they just get such a kick out of running around the coffee table. They run from me to, when I want to change their diaper sometimes. They always giggle when they do it to. Meagan loves to stack cups and blocks and Natalie likes to do the puzzles and look at the books. They both love their flashcards, play-doh and coloring. We waited for an air conditioner guy all day today!! I put the girls down for a nap and while they had been napping for a while, Oma and Opa came!! :) We let them sleep a little longer and then we went in to wake them up. The girls didn't know what had happened, but they were excited. Opa laid down in our chair to take a nap, but Meagan wouldn't let him, she just kept bringing toys over to him and stacking them on his lap. She even tried to put a little baby stroller on top. I had to leave to go get the cake, so they watched them while I did that. I even stopped to get myself an iced tea at McAlister's on the way to get the cake, yum! I picked up the birthday cake and it looked really cute. I also got two cupcakes for the girls that had the number 2 on it. I pulled up to the house and the air conditioning guy was finally here. I brought the cake inside and talked to the guy. He left and then Daddy came home. We all went to eat dinner at Cracker Barrel. It was fun!! Oma took the girls to play with the toys and they of course played with all the rocking chairs again. We left and came back home. They all stayed there and then I went to the grocery store to buy a couple of things. When I got back, Lisa had just gotten there. I gave her a hug and we went inside and the girls were taking their bath. Daddy, Oma and Lisa all helped get them dressed. They got to play with everyone for a little while. They love to show off in front of people, so funny. Meagan and Natalie both copied how Lisa put her hair back behind her, like a little flick with their hands. It was funny. We put the girls to bed after they read their Goodnight Book. Then we organized for tomorrow and talked. Oma and Lisa helped me put some pictures of Mickey into the favor bags that I made the night before. We all went to bed!!

Saturday, Daddy, Lisa and I got up early to load up the truck with the cake and other things we needed to bring to the party. The girls woke up right before we were leaving, so we got to tell them goodmorning. Oma and Opa were going to watch the girls this morning and then later on Opa was going to pick up the balloons I ordered and the Chick-fil-a nuggets. When Daddy, Lisa and I got to Grandma's house, we started cleaning and getting everything ready for the party with Grandma also. Lisa and Grandma helped out so much that morning, it helped Daddy and I get everything ready on time. When we were almost done, Oma and Opa showed up with the girls in their Mickey Mouse shirts and then Celeste, Terrell, Kelly and Cade and then Tara and Jason. Good timing! Tara made the fruit salad for us and Grandma and Lisa made the veggies and sandwiches. Grandma also made the number '2' cookies. Thad and Natasha showed up early to, so I got to take their picture first by the life sized Mickey and Minnie Balloons. I did this for every family that showed up after that. The cake table looked great, the toys outside looked great, the yard looked great, the house looked great and the food looked great!! We had a great turn out with our friends. These are the people who were there besides the names I just listed: Shannon, Tina and Easton; Rihana; Jeanette, Buck and Chloe; Natasha, Brandon, Hannah, Rylan and Arianna; Kelly, Mike, Makenzie and Kallie; Shayanne, Shaylee and Shelbee; Courtney, her mom and Kendalyn; Crystal, Steven and Caden; Michelle, Eddie, Tyler and Trevor; Joey, Kelly, Carson and Wesley; Gus, Kourtney and Cooper; Clay, Amberly, Mason and Camden; Kody, Kayla and Kolton; Harry, Tara, Halle and Champ; Jerry, Anne and James; Tim, Erin, Trace and Molly; Jill. Everyone ate some food and played in the bounce house, ball area, sandbox and then eventually swam. Meagan and Natalie pretty much swam the whole time after they got so hot in the bounce house. Jason, Terrell, Kelly and Celeste all helped with the girls in the pool. After a little while, we got the girls out of the pool and we sang 'Happy Birthday' to them outside by the cake and I had number 2 candles in their cupcakes. Natalie blew out her candle right away and then Meagan did after her second or third time to blow. They were hungry, so they dug into their cupcakes. Terrell helped cut the cake and Lisa spread the plates out for everyone, while Jeanette and I got the ice cream cups out for everyone. After everyone enjoyed their cake and ice cream, it was time for the pinata. I got a couple of the older kids to come pull the strings under the Mickey Mouse pinata. They got bags and picked up the candy and little toys! We had such a good time!! I'm so glad so many got to make!! When people headed out we handed them their favors along with the picture that I took when they came in the door when they first got there. Aunt Dana made it for the last part of the party and then when everyone was leaving, Grandad and Granny showed up. We decided to go ahead and open the presents after the party. Harry, Tara, Halle and Champ stayed around for a little bit to, so Halle could see some of the presents. The girls opened Lisa's first before she left to go back home (that was at the end of the party) and then after the party we opened up Tara, Jason, Oma and Opa's present first because Tara and Jason needed to head out. They got the girls a little kitchen to play with. Very cute!! We said bye to them and then we opened some more. Oma and Opa also gave them some money and two dresses, one purple and one blue from San Antonio (little mexican dresses, very cute). They got such neat little toys!! From Celeste they got princess dress up clothes and shoes, from Grandma LaLa they got a Mickey Mouse Activity plane car that they ride on, some James Avery Charms to put on their charm bracelet; Twin American Baby Dolls with a rolling suitcase and clothes and some crafts to play with at her house and she fixed up some old baby doll furniture, so the girls could put their new dolls in it; Grandad gave them some money; Granny got them Violet the dog that sings, a cat piano, two wooden bead sets and some Mega Blocks; Terrell got Meagan a Strawberry Shortcake doll like she had when she was little that smells like strawberry shortcake when you press it. (Natalie likes it better though). She also got them and African xylophone, African flipflops, a little skunk and owl, Elmo shirts and two dresses, one was pink and the other orange, very cute! Bryan got the girls two books, one called Goodnight Owl and the other Goodmorning Toucan. Grammie, Dana and Cody got them some neat books: Goodnight Moon, Snow Bugs, another Bugs book and Winnie the Pooh book with removable stickers. Last week, Omie and Opie gave me $5 for each girl. Jeanette got them a Mickey Mouse Pull out couch and a Mickey Mouse Activity Car. Joey and Kelly got them floats for the pool and toys for the beach. Amberly got them Kiddy Dough playset. Michelle got them some kick boards, made a Mickey Mouse Picture frame for us and they also got us balls for the pool and a wigglin waterpiller sprinkler for the yard. Kayla a giftcard to Target; Shayanne a slip-n-slide and bubble playset; Shannon and Tina stickers and some dresses; Kourtney a jug of bubbles, bubble hurricane machine and mini sports balls; Erin a jug of bubbles and bubble hurricane machine; Rihana Elmo T-shirts and two dresses; Lisa play clothes, bubbles and microphones that sing; Crystal giftcards to Wal-Mart; Thad $ and giftcard to Gymboree; Kelly bubble dispenser and bubbles; Mike and Carolyn tons of adorable clothes; Natasha baskets with colors, window markers, stickers, paint, inital, and stamps; Courtney Play and Go Castles (2); Harry Butterfly Garden; Jerry, Anne and James Butterfly Garden. We let the girls and Cade play with the toys a little bit and then the kids took naps. We said bye to Dana, Grandad and Granny. While they were taking naps, the adults went swimming in the pool listening to music. It was nice. And when the kids woke up, we put them in the pool to swim. We had a great time! Cade fell in the pool and Grandma grabbed him and then a little while later Meagan fall in and Daddy grabbed her. Poor things. We all eventually got out of the pool and then had pizza for dinner. The kiddos played some more and Terrell painted Natalie's nails for the first time and put sticker earrings on both girls. It was really cute. Oma, Opa, Meagan, Natalie, Daddy and I headed home. We got them ready for bed. What a great day it was!! I had a fantastic time and we hope everyone else did to!!

Sunday, we talked and had breakfast with Oma and Opa and the girls got to play with them. They headed out early, so we said our goodbyes and thanked them for everything they helped with, especially the girls. Daddy, the girls and I then we stuck around the house for a little bit and played. Then for lunch, us four when to eat lunch at Chuy's and Meagan ate a bunch of Daddy's refried beans. Natalie wasn't that hungry. We drove to Navasota to visit with Cade, Kelly, Celeste, Terrell and LaLa. When we got there, the kids played outside with the bubbles and cars. When they came inside, Celeste helped them play with the Kiddy Play-Doh. Terrell and Grandma put their hair up. Meagan has had her hair in a braid and pigtails this weekend and Natalie has had hers in pigtails to!! The girls napped for a little bit and so did Cade. We just relaxed and watched movies while they napped. Meagan woke up and was still tired, so she fall asleep on Grandma. Natalie woke up a little later and then Cade. Terrell did their hair again and then Terrell, Cade, Grandma, Meagan and Natalie all went swimming and I took some pictures. Daddy came home from work and we cleaned up a little bit and then told everyone bye, we left the girls there with them, so they could all have fun together. Terrell said that Meagan had bad diarrhea that night, poor thing. It had to be from drinking pool water or those refried beans!! Daddy and I drove around looking at houses and then went out to eat for dinner. This was such a great weekend!! Couldn't have asked for better!! :)
