Friday, Good Friday, we got dressed and ready and then headed to Grandma LaLa's house to pick her up. We all drove to Burton, TX for LaLa's mom's side of the family get together. They always get together at the Burton Cemetery on Good Friday. We ate lunch and took pictures in the flowers and Natalie even caught a butterfly. I loved watching the girls chase the butterflies, so cute!! One of my favorite memories of the girls!! So sweet! After lunch, they got to hear a Easter story about Jesus and the girls had eggs. During the story they had to wait until the color of their egg was called and then open it to see what was inside. Natalie had the praying hands and Meagan had the cross, so cute! After the story, it was time to hunt for Easter eggs and candy. It was so much fun! We decided to head back to LaLa's after that. We all went swimming in LaLa's pool. The girls loved it!! They went down the little slide and everything. Got out of the pool and played outside for a little bit and then we went inside and relaxed. We came home a little while after that. We had a great day!
Saturday, in the morning, we let Daddy sleep in a little and I took the girls to Barnes and Nobles to meet an author and listen to her read some of her children's books. The girls really liked it and even got her to sign their books for them. It was neat. They played with the trains there and the legos. We left and we came to pick up Daddy. We went to eat lunch at Cheddar's, the girls were acting kind of crazy there, all over their seats and spilt a drink, they are normally good now when we go out to eat, but today they were just crazy! :) We came home after lunch and had the girls relax a little bit. After that, we loaded up in the car and we met Eddie, Michelle, Tyler and Trevor at an Aggie Baseball Game. That was the first time the girls had been to a college baseball game. They got to have a snowcone, which Natalie loved. Meagan got to wear her new sunglasses, which she loves. They even got to play on a playscape there and had fun on that. Daddy bought them a T-shirt and a baseball with A&M on it. It was fun hanging out with Eddie and his family! Wish we could do it more often. We left right before the game was over and we came home and had dinner. We had a wonderful time!
Sunday, Easter Sunday!! We got up early and the girls got some Easter goodies from the Easter Bunny. They played with that stuff for a little bit and then we all got dressed up and we went to church at 8 in the morning. There were so many people there! The girls did pretty good during the service, ate snack and looked at new books and wanted to use the restroom some. While I got communion, Daddy took the girls outside because they were getting restless. After church, they had a candy/egg hunt, so the girls got to participate in that. We came home and loaded up some things and then we all drove to LaLa's to pick up some Easter bags from her. Then we went to the nursing home where Great Grandpa is to say hello and to pick up LaLa. We got to say hi to Janet and Grandpa. LaLa rode with us to Celeste and Kelly's house. They made lunch for everyone and decorated the table really nice. It was a very nice touch to Easter, I really enjoyed it, as well as the girls and Daddy to. They food was all yummy!! Cade, Meagan and Natalie sat at their own little table to eat. Celeste got the girls some sugared Easter Egg candy, cute! Cade and the girls got to open their presents from LaLa and Cade opened up Hollan's to see what she got. The girls got some swimsuits and books and candy. This is Hollan's first Easter!! Daddy took Cade and the girls upstairs to play with the toys. It pretty much looked like a tornado went through the playroom. Hollan and LaLa took a nap. After they played for a little bit, it was time to hunt for Easter Eggs, so we took the kiddos outside and they were all so cute finding all the eggs. They got to eat some of their candy and play a little baseball with Cade and Daddy. After that it was time to go. We went to LaLa's house and I let the girls swim for a little bit in the little pool and in the shallow end of the pool. Daddy worked for a little bit and we hung out with LaLa. When Daddy came back, we said bye to LaLa and came home. We had a great Easter!!!! Thank you Jesus for all that you do, we are truly blessed!!
Monday, was of course laundry day again, so we stayed home all day. We did go outside to play with new bubble machines and with the new Dora painting books.
Tuesday, I took the girls to school and Meagan again just had one pee pee accident at school and it was at lunch time again. When I picked up the girls, they were still sleeping, so I woke them up and boy did they let me have it. They were both crying and everyone was looking at us, it was kind of embarrassing, oh well. We came home and they were better, so I got the slip-n-slide out to play with outside. The girls loved it and I helped them slide across! They had a blast! Daddy came home later and they had fun playing with him.
Wednesday, girls did great at gymnastics and I reserved a spot for their birthday party in July!!
* Some cute things lately: Meagan likes to act like she is making tea and she serves it to me. I act like it is too hot, that it burned my lips, so then she has to make them better with a kiss. It is a really sweet game! They also love when Daddy and I chase them. They run and scream, it is so funny!!! Both talking a lot more!!
