Carnival At the Houston Rodeo

Thursday, March 6th, I took the girls to school and then I had to get a meal for a new Twin Mom and I took that to Kelly's house.  Then I had to do some shopping.  I picked the girls up from school and we went to the new Walgreen's by our house.  It was the grand opening!!  We looked around and got some free goodies and then I got them some Lego people.  We came home and we opened the legos and then we coloring in the Cat coloring books I got the girls.  We then played some games and then it was time for softball/t-ball practice.  It was fun, the girls keep getting better and better.  Daddy loves getting to help coach them.  We then went to Blue Baker to eat some dinner together.  The girls enjoyed watching a man that worked there make some bread.  We came home and did our bed time routine.  Good day!
Friday, LaLa's birthday today, we played at home and then around 10:30am we left to pick up some lunch for Julie at Panera Bread and then we went over to her house.  I got to hold baby Jordyn and the girls got to play with Addison.  It was good to visit with them.  We had a good time.  The girls even got to jump on the trampoline with Addison.  We left there and came back home.  I had to pack and straighten up the house and do some laundry.  I practiced softball with the girls outside for a little bit and then they swung.  Daddy came home early and we had a Facetime with Terrell, Bryan and LaLa, so we could tell LaLa Happy Birthday.  It was good to talk to them and see them while we were talking.  Then we left to go to another softball practice.  Not all of the kids were there because Spring Break has started and one was sick.  It was a good practice though.  Natalie and Meagan played with Shaylee at the park afterwards.  It was fun and also dark outside already!  We told them bye and we came home to eat dinner and go to bed.

Saturday, we got up early to drive to Houston to go to Demetri and Thanasi's birthday party.  It was at Jumping World (a room filled with trampolines).  We had a lot of fun!!  We got to talk to Adriane, Scotty and Adriane's family and Gus and Kourtney were there to.  We got to watch the girls have a great time jumping.  Meagan had pizza and they both had cake!  The cake was really good.  After the party, we told everyone bye and then we continued to ride further into Houston to Thad and Nyree's house.  It was good to see them and Natasha and Thaddeus.  We unloaded our luggage and I got to visit with Nyree for a little bit, the girls played with Natasha and Daddy visited with Thad and little Thaddeus.  Then we all loaded up and we followed them to the Rodeo Carnival.  It was hard to find a parking spot, so Daddy dropped us off and we rode the tram with Thad, Nyree, Natasha and Thaddeus, while Daddy looked for a spot to park.  We walked with them to the carnival area and started letting the kids ride some rides.  It took awhile for Daddy to find us, but he finally did.  The kids rode some more rides and looked in the farm area and we got some snacks and some drinks.  We spent the whole afternoon there.  Then we went inside and looked at the animals.  We had a great time, but we were all tired!!  We decided to just eat dinner at the rodeo and then we rode the tram back to the parking lot.  The rodeo just ended to, so the traffic was bad trying to get out of the parking lot.  We finally did and then headed back to Thad and Nyree's house.  We got the girls ready for bed and all the kids went to sleep.  We stayed up for a little bit and got to talk to Nyree and Thad.  Good times, love them!
Sunday, the time changed (Spring Forward), so we lost an hour of our day, boo!!  Nyree made us a good breakfast and we all ate together and talked.  The kids had a great time playing with all the toys this morning and playing on their Kindles.  We stayed there until a little after 1pm and then we told them bye.  It was a great visit!  We headed back toward Navasota, but stopped at a neat restaurant first in Cypress called The Shack.  They had burgers and such, it was really good!!  They had a play area to, but it was really wet outside, so the girls couldn't do to much.  We then drove to LaLa's, she wasn't home yet, so we dropped off Daddy, so he could do some work and then we headed home.  I straightened the house because Marcia is coming to clean the house tomorrow.  We also played games, seems like all they want to do lately is play games and color.  So funny!!  We had a late dinner tonight because we had a late lunch earlier.  We played some games together and then it was bed time.
Monday, the girls and I hung out at the house all morning and guess what we played games and then we practiced reading some books.  They did great!  Then Marcia came over and then I took the girls to a late lunch at The Grub Burger.  We ate and then they got to share a milk shake.  Then we went to the library and spent a little time there and got some new library books.  Then we went to the grocery store and then we came home.  Daddy came home shortly after we got home and practiced some softball outside in the backyard.  I put the groceries up and started making some dinner.  Grandad came over to have dinner with us and we talked to him a little bit.  Then he watched as the girls played their video game and then he headed out.  We got the girls ready for bed.  Good day with the girls!!

Tuesday, I took the girls to school and then I came home to start writing this blog.  I went to pick them up early from school, right after lunch and we came home.  Lori, Paul and Madisyn came over a little while after we got home.  We showed them around the house and then we went across the street to the park.  The girls had fun playing Ice Princess and coloring and playing with chalk.  Then we decided to go to the Wolf Pen Creek Park and we walked along the trail and found bugs and rolled down the big hill.  The kids played at the park for a little bit and then we all decided to go to Aggieland Outfitters.  We took pictures with the Gig'em Statue and then went inside.  They had little games in there for the kids to play, like pool, shuffle board, air hockey and fooze ball.  It was pretty neat.  We told them bye and would see them in a little bit.  I took the girls to softball practice and Natalie was tired, but she perked up when she saw there were some cupcakes to celebrate Mia's birthday.  Meagan did awesome practicing her throwing.  They are getting better at hitting the ball.  We told everyone bye and then the girls, Daddy and I met up with Lori, Paul and Madisyn at Outback Steak House for dinner.  The kids were wonderful, they colored and played games.  The adults got to talk!  We had a great dinner and then we came home.  They unpacked their things and made a palate on the floor for Madisyn to sleep in the girls room, but they were all staying awake.  Meagan fell asleep and then Natalie, but Madisyn couldn't, so Paul got her things and she slept in their room.  We stayed up late talking.  It was good to visit with them.
Wednesday, we all got up.  We heard Madisyn get up and say, 'Meagan and Natalie are awake!'  Daddy headed to work and we fed the kiddos breakfast.  We chatted with Lori and Paul for a little bit and the girls played some more.  They headed out to go to San Antonio and the girls and I just stayed at home all day.  They wanted to play their video games.  We also tried out the Easy Bake Oven that Meagan got for Christmas and we made some cookies.  Then we made some real cookies in the oven for LaLa and us.  We played chase and tickled each other, which they love.  Daddy came home a little early and he didn't feel his best, so he took a little nap.  When he woke up, he felt a little better, so he played some games with the girls.  We ordered a pizza for dinner.  Good, relaxing day at home!!  Great start to Spring Break!
