Monday, March 29th, Meagan pulled up in her crib for the first time. She was so proud of herself!! Daddy had to put the mattress on the lowest setting now!! All of us took Daddy's car to the shop and then he dropped us off at home. The girls and I played at home all day! I took the girls for a walk to the nearby park and put them in the swings. Came home a little later. Meagan is really starting to get around the living room to where the screen door is and her books. When Daddy got home we all went to the shop and picked up Daddy's car. We then ate at the new Cracker Barrel in town for the first time. The girls got to sit in the rocking chairs there. Meagan started rocking by herself right away. It was funny to watch!
Tuesday, the girls and I stayed home all day and played. Natalie laid on my chest today all by herself, it was so sweet. She was giving me love!! I can already tell I am going to love when they love back in return!!!! They are both starting to do it now. Meagan leaned her head on my shoulder all by herself to!! Both girls like to look out of the screen door! And Meagan is starting to really follow me where ever I go. She loves to know where I am all the time.
Wednesday, Natalie really started doing a bunch of baby talk today, sounding just like Meagan did. Natalie keeps saying 'babababa.' So precious!! Meagan kept trying to pull up on the coffee table, but just can't quit get it yet herself. Natalie getting a little more interested in moving around, hasn't figured out crawling yet, but I can tell she wants to get to other toys. We drove to Grandma's together and met Celeste, Grandma and Daddy there. Aunt Celeste rode with us to church dinner. We all ate dinner there with Great Grandpa and then Uncle Kelly and Cade came a little later. Cade is calling me 'Meliss' right now, really cute!! And he just loves Matt!!! We came home after dinner. We had fun!! I went to Toys-R-Us later on that night and bought the girls a grocery shopping cart toy and then got a second toy for free, which was a basketball net game.
Thursday, April 1st, girls first April Fools Day! The girls liked the new toys I got them!! For lunch today, we met Aunt Celeste at Layne's to eat. It was yummy and fun! They only had one high chair for the place, so the girls had to share the same one. Came home afterwards and then later on went to Daddy's office to see what Aunt Celeste has been doing to her new office. Marla was still there, so she got to see them. Went to Grandma's house next and the girls and Cade got to play. Cade, Natalie and Meagan took a bath together for the first time. It was so funny!! They all had fun playing in the water. Cade liked dumping water on their heads. Meagan likes to move all around and Natalie likes to splash the water. Natalie was the first one to fuss, telling us she was ready to get out!! We put the girls to bed, but they were spending the night and then ate dinner with everyone. Daddy, Celeste, Kelly and I went to the office and helped put Celeste's desk together. It took awhile! :) Daddy and I headed home afterwards.
Easton Neil Houy was born tonight around 6 o'clock pm. We are so happy for Tina and Shannon!! The girls have a new little cousin to play with now!!!
Friday, Daddy and I drove to Grandma's house and loaded up everyone and everything to drive to Burton. Great Grandma's family has a tradition of going to their loved ones cemetery there and having a big lunch for Good Friday. We all ate lunch and then took some pictures in the bluebonnets, listened to an Easter Story and then did an Easter Egg Hunt. Cade did not want to do the Easter Egg Hunt, so Celeste and Kelly played ball with him instead. We had a good time. We all headed back to Grandma's house and we played with Cade. Daddy, the girls and I all came home in the afternoon and Oma and Opa came to our house! Once they got settled, Oma and I went to get Pedicures and dinner for everyone. While we were gone Daddy and Opa gave the girls a bath and put them to bed. We all ate dinner and watched a Netfix movie together. Good times!
Saturday, Oma fed the girls their breakfast and then we all got ready and Oma and Opa followed us to the Kemah Boardwalk. We meet Aunt Tara and Jason at The Aquarium to eat lunch. Took awhile to get settled, but we did it!! :) The girls were so hungry, so we fed them first! They loved looking at the fish at The Aquarium. After we ate, we all walked on the Kemah Boardwalk, which is kind of dangerous with all the seagulls flying around!! ;) We then all headed to Patsy and Bill's house for Emily's wedding. This was the girls first wedding to go to! :) It was outside and it was a beautiful warm day. We all sat at the same table to watch the wedding and to eat. That was nice. We had a nice shaded spot. It was good to see Emily and Erin! Opa and Oma followed Daddy, the girls and I all the way back home. Oma gave the girls a bath and we all helped dress and fed them for bed. We were all exhausted!! When to bed kind of early! Great day!
Sunday, Easter Sunday, Oma fed the girls again this morning and then we all got ready for church. We went to Matt's family's church, the Presbyterian Church. We met Great Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Celeste, Uncle Kelly and Cade there. Cade and the girls got to help put flowers on a cross that they have in church on Easter. We are all so thankful and blessed for God and Jesus, for what they did for us all those years ago!! Cade, Meagan and Daddy went to the Nursery during church. Natalie stayed with the grown ups, she was being a good girl. After church, we got them out of the Nursery and then headed to Grandma's house. The Easter Bunny came there and hid some eggs and had some goodies in Easter Baskets. The girls took a nap when we got there and Aunt Tara and Jason came over to celebrate with us. Uncle Kelly made burgers for everyone and Aunt Celeste and Grandma made some other goodies. We all ate lunch while Meagan and Natalie were sleeping. We visited and got the girls up. Took a bunch of pictures and then Aunt Tara helped Natalie find some eggs in the house and Daddy and I helped Meagan find some eggs. We said bye to Aunt Tara and Jason and then a little while later we said bye to Oma and Opa!! What a great Easter with everyone!! When Cade got up from his nap, we all watched him find some Easter Eggs. He played Egg Toss with his Dad. Aunt Celeste sprayed some silly string on Cade and he did not like it. He said it was 'Dirty.' I got it on video, it was pretty funny!! We also played with some of Cade's bubbles and the girls really liked watching that. We came back inside and relaxed a little. I played basketball with Cade for a little bit. We left after we fed the girls their dinner. We had such a fun time!!! What a great first Easter for the girls!
Some other things the girls did this week: Meagan crawls after me sometimes and whines for me. She is definitely a Mommy's girl!! I kind of like when the girls hurt themselves (not bad, just a little bump on the head or something like that) because they cry a little and I like picking them up and making them feel better. It makes me feel good that I made them stop crying!! :) Meagan can crawl with toys in her mouth now!! So cute, just like a little puppy!! Natalie is still in love with animals, Charlie and Percy (dogs) can really make her laugh. Charlie even brings a ball to her, but she can't throw it yet. A couple of the things the girls got for Easter: Books, outfits, bathing suits, sippy cups, hats for the summertime, beanie baby bunnies (Aunt Tara), new toys (penguin that wobbles and nursery farm game), painted wooden eggs that Aunt Celeste made, puzzles, Peter Rabbit (for Meagan from God-Mother, Aunt Terrell), Princess and the Frog, Easter Shoes and Bonnets, Easter Baskets (Daddy and Mommy), Easter Dresses (Mommy and Daddy) and Easter Candy. Thank you all so much!!! We had a great Easter!!
They are so stinkin cute Melissa!
