Thursday, May 16th, I took the girls to school and then to dance class where they had their recital practice with the Monday afternoon kids. All the moms were nervous about the recital coming up this weekend!! We came home and I made some dinner and then Daddy started helping the neighbor behind us with the fence.
Friday, I took the girls to a make up soccer practice and Haven and Harrison were there to, so they got to play soccer with their friends. It was really cute to watch them play together. Natalie scored a couple of goals and she was so happy about it. Meagan got tripped at a goal and she cried, then it was down hill from there when she couldn't get the soccer ball away from a girl (that was on her team) to score the goal. She cried! She is dead set on wanting to make those goals. She is a determined little thing, got to love it. After they practiced, all the kids took a picture with Coach Ally. We took Joanna, Haven and Harrison bye and then we drove up to campus to meet up with Alicia, Andrew, Elizabeth and Olivia. We wanted to take pictures around campus together. It was fun, we took some in the MSC, Rudder Fountain, the Century Tree, the Academic Building, G. Rollie White Building and in front of Kyle Field. We got some good pictures. Then we left and we followed each other to LaLa's house and Daddy was there and Julie, Maegan, Saddie and Addison were already there. We were having a swimming playdate!! We enjoyed watching the kids swim and us getting a chance to talk. It was fun! We stayed there for about three and a half hours. We cleaned up and then we followed Alicia back to the neighborhood and we went our separate ways to our houses. The girls played some games and I cooked some dinner and Daddy helped with the fence in the backyard. Oma and Opa came over and we all ate dinner and played outside. We had a relaxing evening at home.
Saturday, we all got up early and drove to Veterans Park for Soccer Demo-Day. We ran into Haven and Harrison there. They played before us! The girls got a chance to show what they have learned over the past couple of weeks in soccer practice and they both did an awesome job!! They took a picture with their coach and then Daddy and Opa left for Lowes and to help fix the fence with the neighbor and Oma, the girls and I went to the grocery store to buy food for today. Then we got home and we ate lunch right away. Then it was time to get ready for the dance rehearsal, so Oma did the girls hair and make up and then helped me get them dressed in their first outfits. We drove to the rehearsal and of course it didn't start on time, about an hour late. Natalie didn't want to wear her tiara, so I was done getting her to try to wear it, so she didn't for the rehearsal. Meagan had the stage down, Natalie did to, but she has been very clingy lately to me and wanted to make sure she could see me from where she was on the stage. It is sweet! Then Oma helped me get the girls dressed in their next outfits for tap, super cute! We watched some of the other dances and then then it was their turn again for their tap dance. They did great, Natalie's letter J was upside down and she tried to fix it, but it was still upside down, too funny! Meagan did an excellent job to!!!! She didn't fuss at all, good sport. Then we got to leave after that performance, so us four all went home to relax a little bit and then Tara and Jason showed up. Daddy and Opa got the fence done and worked in the yard some!! After they were done with that, all of us followed each other to LaLa's house to go swimming. The water was a little cold, but it felt great!! We had a good time, Meagan was really jumping into the water with her floaties on! Natalie did a couple of times to. Then Daddy made some burgers and hot dogs on the grill, yummy!! We had a good time. We even bathed the girls there before we left, so they would be ready for bed. We all came back to our house and the girls slept in the same room with Oma and Opa on an air mattress. It took them a while to go to sleep. Tara and Jason slept in Meagan and Natalie's beds.
Sunday, we took it easy in the morning and I helped mow the backyard, which we have a hard backyard to mow, too many trees. Opa and Daddy went to the old house to mow that yard to. Jason played video games with the girls and the rest of us got dressed and Oma made some lunch. We ate and then Tara did Meagan and Natalie's hair and make up for their dance recital today. We got them dressed into their first outfit, their princess ballet outfits. We then took some pictures and Tara and Jason gave the girls some flowers (every dancer needs flowers) and then we followed each other to the recital. Tara and Oma helped me with the girls tiaras and Natalie actually wore it today, yay!! They had fun playing with the other girls while we waited for our turn. Tara went out to the audience to watch the performance with Jason, Daddy and Opa. I was a stage mom, so I got to help back stage. Oma stayed back there with me to, even though she wasn't supposed to, but nobody told her anything, so I guess that is okay. The girls did a great job. It was very cute! I helped get them off the stage and then Tara came back and we all changed the girls into their tap outfits and took some more pictures. We took the girls outside to have some snacks and then Tara and Jason needed to get back home, so they told us bye there. I'm so happy they came to watch. Then Oma, the girls and I watched the rest of the first dances from the back and then at intermission we went to sit with Opa and Daddy for a little bit and they told they girls that they did a great job. Then Oma and I took the girls back to the dressing room to hang out before their next performance. They did a great job again with their tap dance and Meagan lost a shoe tie afterwards on the stage, but I found it later. They did awesome! Then it was time to get the girls changed into their fianle shirts and shorts. They had to do a pose at the end, Meagan liked it and did a good pose, Natalie got a little scared and nervous, so she did a little kick. So funny!! Yay, the recital is over!!! We made it through!! We grabbed our things and then we met up with Daddy and Opa outside. We thanked Oma and Opa for coming and gave them hugs and kisses bye, they were going to stay with Tara and Jason tonight. They left and then Daddy, the girls and I went to eat at Wings-N-More to celebrate them doing such a good job. They got to play in the arcade with Daddy and he won them some stuffed animals from the claw game, he is so good at that game! We all ate dinner together and then we shared a huge thing of ice cream and brownie, yum! We had a good time! Then we came home and played some games and got ready for bed! What a busy weekend!!
Monday, we relaxed at home in the morning, we were all tired! Then around 11:30am, we went to the park and met up with Julie, Saddie, Addison and Maegan, Joanna, Haven and Harrison, Michelle, Hampton and Haley and Alicia, Elizabeth, Olivia and Andrew. Ashley was there with Addison and Libby to, from school and soccer. We knew everyone at the park pretty much. We had fun playing, swinging and eating lunch. We played for about an hour and a half and then it was getting hot, so we headed out. The girls and I came home and we saw a snake in our yard, freaky. It was a pretty big snake, blueish, gray color. I blew up the water slide and pool because Alicia and them were going to come over. They came over and we all watched as the snake was getting attacked by birds and then it went into a bush. Now I am afraid to go in my grass!! They came in and we played on the slip-n-slide and the pool and then we all came inside to play in the playroom. Good times. We headed out the same time as they did. I took the girls to gymnastics and they got to play in their swimsuits for the beach theme week. They went into a bounce house, played balloon volleyball, on the trampoline and got their faces painted. They had a great time! We gave Coach Sabrina a thank you card for this year! Then we headed home and Daddy came home and we all had dinner and played.
Tuesday, I took the girls to school and we gave their teachers their Thank you gift for teaching Meagan and Natalie this year. They had a great day at school and when we got home, we colored and colored and colored a princess coloring book. We were having such a good time together, just coloring. We played some games to. I cooked dinner tonight and Daddy came, we all ate together. Daddy downloaded a new playstation game for the girls and it is pretty fun! He played soccer outside for a little bit with the girls.
Wednesday, the girls and I played the new video game together and Meagan also played tea party in the livingroom. Then at 11:15am, the girls went to see 'Escape From Planet Earth' at the movies. It was pretty cute and had some funny parts. I liked it!!! Natalie got scared at some parts, but she does with every movie. She thinks about it too much, like her Daddy! ;) After the movie, we played some aracade games together and then we came home to eat some lunch. We played the new video game some more and then we played in their playroom. Daddy came home earlier and we all ate dinner together and then we all rode together to Awana to watch the car races they had. We didn't make a car this year, but we will do it next year. We stood with Julie, Saddie and Addison and watched Saddie race her cars. It was fun and the girls got their certificates for completing Cubbies. We came home and then Meagan, Natalie and Daddy all three played the Disney Universe game together at the same time! They had fun! I picked up the house while they did that! Then I got them ready for bed. We had a great week!! :)
