Thursday, wasn't the best day ever. It started out with Meagan being a little sick with a really goopy eye this morning. I got that cleaned up and then I decided to call our doctor to schedule an appointment today, since we were leaving for our trip tomorrow. I got the girls dressed and then Meagan and I took Natalie to school. I kept Meagan with me. We drove to Downtown Bryan to try to pick up some papers for Celeste, but they won't let me have them. So we left there and then we went to Meagan's doctors appointment. Dr. Sullivan checked her out and there were beginning ear infections and a pink eye. She wrote us a prescription and then Meagan also got her flu mist. We left there and came home, so I could pack. Meagan just relaxed and watched some TV and colored with paper and pens. I got a little bit done, but not all that I wanted to. I made lunch for Meagan and myself and then it was time to pick up Natalie from school. We got Natalie and then we went to three different places to try to get Meagan's medicine. I was so stressed and overwhelmed. It took forever to get the medicine and I still needed to pack more. We saw Kourtney's mom in CVS and I just had to cry on her shoulder, I felt better after that. God knew I needed a good cry!! After we got the medicine, we came home and I made dinner for everyone and Daddy came home then to. We all ate together and then Daddy helped with the girls, so I could pack everything. That helped out a lot!! We got the girls ready for bed and told them they would be flying on a plane tomorrow!!
Friday, it was raining this morning and we headed out early to get to the airport. The roads were pretty scary, but we made it to the airport in one piece, yay!! We rode on the shuttle bus to the airport and got bags checked and through security and Oma and Opa were waiting on the other side for us!! It was so good to see them!!! We all got some breakfast and then Oma and Opa were on a different plane that was leaving before ours, so we had to wait at different gates. We told them we would see them in California!! We waited for our plane and boarded. Meagan sat by the window and Natalie in the middle and I was on the aisle. Daddy sat across from me. The girls were excited to fly. They kept asking 'When are we going to blast off'? Too funny! They ate some snacks and played video games and then we landed in Phoenix. We all got some lunch and they liked riding on the moving walk way. Then we waited on our next plane that was a little late. We took off again and the girls did a great job. We landed in Orange County, California and we met up with Opa in baggage claim. He helped us get our bags and then we met up with Oma at the rental mini-van. Daddy helped put the carseats in and then we were on our way to our Hilton Hotel. We were staying right by the Angels Stadium. We unpacked and got ready for the Angels Baseball game against the Seattle Mariners. The girls thought the game was neat. We walked around with them a little bit. It was a pretty boring game while we were there, no one was scoring. We were all getting tired, so we decided to walk back to the hotel during the 7th inning. We get back to the hotel and watch the rest of the game on the TV and it went into 11 innings before the Angels won. The girls and Oma fell asleep, but Daddy, Opa and I watched the fireworks at the stadium from our hotel window. Great fireworks.
Saturday, Oma and I woke up early and we went to the lobby to eat a buffet breakfast and then brought up food for the rest of the crew. We got everyone ready and then we hit the road for San Diego. We drove to the San Diego Safari. Once we got there, we walked around and the girls rode on a carousel, Natalie on a deer and Meagan on a fox. Then Daddy got two remote control boats going, so the girls could steer them. That was fun! We walked on fake lilly pads, we petted and brushed some goats, walked around and found some more animals and then we rode on the tram into an African Safari. It was beautiful out there and tons of wild life to see. We had a great time! Then we decided to have lunch and we sat by a jungle gym, so I watched the girls play while everyone else got the food. We had a great view of the safari from where we were sitting and the weather was awesome. After lunch, we then walked to see the Gorilla's and then found a place where the girls could get their face painted. Meagan got a monkey and Natalie decided on a Dolphin. They both turned out really cute! Then we sat for a little bit and decided what to do next. We all decided to go watch a bird show. We saw a bunch of birds do tricks and we even saw a parrot (Macaw) that looked just like Natalie's and it flew right over our heads. We all got a kick out of that! After that cute show was over, we got to watch another bird show about a different Macaw and it made nosies and talked to the audience. Pretty neat. Before we left, we got to see the Meercats and we went to the gift shop. Then we all loaded up in the car and we drove to downtown San Diego and found the Padres Baseball stadium. We all got free Padres scarves and we had pretty good seats. We couldn't get settled there, we were either going to the bathroom with the girls, getting everyone different food or just walking around. This stadium was pretty neat, but there were a lot of Dodgers fans everywhere, so it was hard to get the feel of how the Padres' fans were. They did have a good kids area. The Dodgers ended up winning the game, but it was still fun. The girls even got some balloon animals there. Daddy did say that Natalie did fall off of a chair and she hurt her knee and chin, but she was a trooper. The girls also got some Padres bats as souvenirs. We had a great time and we stayed for the whole game, wow!! We all got in the car and then headed back to Orange County to our hotel. The girls were out!! They were so tired. We had a great day!!! We did lose Pepper the Beanie Boo somehow tonight, but that is okay we will find another one!
Sunday, we all slept in and Oma went to eat breakfast in the lobby with the girls, while the rest of us slept in a little longer. We all ate breakfast and then I took the girls to the hotel pool to swim and we also got into the hot tub. Oma came with us, but she just enjoyed watching us play. We stayed in the pool for about an hour. Opa came by to say hi. The girls took turns swimming to me. After swimming, we went back to our room and Daddy and Opa were watching Football. I got ready and then Oma and I watched the end of a movie on TV (No Strings Attached) while the men watched football and the girls played the kindle. It was nice to relax a little bit. Then it was time to go eat some lunch. Oma knew about The Corner Cafe, so we drove there and had some good sandwiches, yum. We had a nice time there sitting outside, eating and talking. After lunch, we drove to the San Monica area and found parking by the Promenade. We walked to the Promenade and we found a place called Puzzle Zoo and guess what they had in there, Beanie Boos!! They had Pepper the cat, so we definitely got him and then they each got sad turtles, Zippy and Shellby. While we were in there, I left and met up with one of my best friends from high school, Arica. It was so good to see her!! We talked to her as we all walked to the San Monica Pier and we walked around on the pier and then we took the girls into the little arcade area to play a couple of games. Then we took them to ride a couple of the carnival rides on the pier, Daddy, Opa and Oma took the girls on all the rides while Arica and I got a chance to catch up and we watched them on the rides. The girls had a great time on all the rides, so cute to watch them have so much fun!! When the girls were done with the rides, it was time for Arica to head out, so we told her bye! She is doing really good!!! Then we took the girls to the arcade one more time and then I rode the old carousel with them one time! That was pretty cool. Then we all walked down to the beach and the girls played in the sand right away. They were so excited to be in the sand. We walked them down to the ocean (Pacific) and the girls and I put our feet in the water. It was fun!! Then we walked back toward the street and watched all the people swinging on the rings and walking on ropes. It was neat. Then we walked to Shutters to eat dinner. For the kids, instead of coloring pages, they had different colored clay in a little mini case for the girls to play with. What a clever idea, I loved it!! Natalie made a little garden with hers and Meagan kept making people. Dinner was pretty good and then we walked back to the car and we headed back to our hotel, which took about 45 mins to a hour. Once we got back to the hotel, we all got ready for bed for our big day tomorrow!!
Monday, Oma and I went to eat breakfast downstairs in the lobby at the buffet again and then we took some food back up to the room for everyone. They were all still asleep except for Opa. We woke up the girls and started getting them ready and then woke up Daddy, so everyone could eat breakfast. Then when everyone was ready, we drove to Disneyland which was super close to our hotel. We parked in the Toy story Woody Lot. Then we hopped onto a toy story Blue Bus and we were dropped off at the entrance of Disneyland. It was decorated for Fall/Halloween. We got our bags checked and then we walked up to the entrance to stand in line and waited just a little bit to get into the park. The first thing I did was buy an autograph book and pen for each girl. Our first character we saw was Goofy, so we got his autograph and then we walked to Tomorrowland to ride our first ride, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Natalie sat with me and Meagan sat with Daddy and then Oma and Opa rode together. They seemed to really like that. Then it was my great idea to ride on Space Mountain with everyone because the girls were tall enough. Meagan rode with me, Natalie rode with Oma and Opa and Daddy rode together. It was dark and pretty fast and had a monster on the ride, Meagan just shut her eyes the whole time and at the end of the ride Natalie was crying, it scared her. Poor thing. Meagan was a trooper though, lol. Natalie got over it though. We were then going to ride the cars on Autopia, but the line was too long, so we decided to go to the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage instead. That was really neat, riding on a little submarine. Everyone liked that ride. Then we went to the Innoventions building to look around. It showed future houses and video games and things like that. Then we were walking toward 'It's a Small World After All' ride. Daddy went to get another stroller while we stood in line for an autograph from Merida from 'Brave'. Then when Daddy came back, we all rode 'It's a Small World' ride. The girls liked that one. We then went to the 'Mickey's Magical Map' show. We loved that show because we got to see Mickey Mouse, Pocahontas, Mulan, Rapunzel, Sebastian, Stitch and Tiana in this show. The girls were in awe!! We then walked to Mickey's Toontown and right away we saw Donald Duck and stood in his line to get his autograph. Then all of us rode Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, that line was a little long, but not too bad. Meagan rode with Oma and Natalie rode with Daddy and I rode with Opa. It was a cute ride! We then played a little bit outside and then stood in line to get Daisy's autograph. Then we decided to just eat lunch there. We got pizza and hotdogs. We then decided to walk to see Sleeping Beauty's Castle, it was pretty. We saw the Fairy Godmother over there and we got her autograph to. Then we took a couple of Photo Pass pictures in front of the castle and then we did a walk through of the castle to learn about Sleeping Beauty's story. It was cute! Then we walked to the Royal Theatre to watch part of a Beauty and the Beast show. The girls really won't into it, so we walked next door to the Royal Hall. We waited in a little line to see Ariel, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. All of the Princesses were really nice. The girls were so happy to get their autographs!! We then walked to Frontierland and we stopped to take a break at The Golden Horseshoe. We got some water, Rootbeer and some ice cream. That was a nice break for all of us. We then walked to the New Orleans Square area and we stood in line to ride Pirates of the Caribbean ride. That was fun!! Then right after that ride, we stood in line to get Tiana's autograph. We were the last ones that were able to get her autograph because she was leaving. We then went into Critter Country and we all rode The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride, which the girls really liked!! Afterwards, Natalie picked out a baby Tigger to buy and Meagan picked out a regular Tigger to buy. We then walked to Adventureland to stand in line for the Jungle Cruise. It was fun, the tour guy was pretty funny!! Girls liked this ride to. We then walked back to Sleeping Beauty's Castle to take another picture in front of it with the Fredericksburg Standard Paper, so Opa could put our picture in the paper when they get back home. Then we made our way to the Peter Pan ride, we waited for a little bit, both girls said they needed to use Poopoo, but told them to wait until after the ride and they held it. Natalie rode with Daddy and me and Meagan rode with Opa and Oma. Love that ride, so relaxing. Right after the ride, we took the girls to the restroom. We then headed toward the entrance of the park and went shopping, looking for toys for the girls. They found a couple of things, Meagan got some pens, a spinning Tinkerbell and Rapunzel princess dress up and Natalie got Alice in Wonderland Dress Up and Ariel dress up (little dolls) and a little Stitch and Meagan a little Goofy. Then we heard the Parade starting, so walked outside and found a spot to watch the beautiful parade. We saw Mickey and Minnie at the beginning, the lion king, peter pan, caption hook, Tinkerbell, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, goofy, Donald, etc. Then it was time to leave. We loaded back onto the toy story bus and got back to our car. We drove a little ways and found a restaurant to eat at, called Oggi's Pizza. It was pretty good! We were all so tired!! We then got back to the hotel to pack up and then to fall asleep!!
Tuesday, Oma got us breakfast from the lobby again and we all ate breakfast and then we got everything together and packed up. Then it was time to load in the car and head to the airport. Oma and Opa were still going to stay in California for the rest of the day, so they just dropped us off. We told them bye and thank you for a great time!! We got into the airport okay and waited for about two hours. We then flew to Phoenix and the girls did great again! We landed at the Phoenix airport and got some lunch and entertained the girls. We ran into Jeff (Sarah's husband) at the airport and he was going to be on the same flight as us. We chatted with him for a little bit and the we all got onto the plane to fly to Austin. They did great again, Natalie even took a little nap on my lap with her seatpet. I had to take both girls to the bathroom on the plane. When we landed, we got our luggage and then rode the shuttle to our car and we headed back home. We made a pit stop at Buccee's on the way back. When we got home, we got unpacked and got the girls ready for bed. It was a good trip back! We had such a great time, but boy are we tired!!
Wednesday, I got the girls ready for gymnastics at 10am and it was circus themed today. It was a fun class!! We got to talk to Joanna, Haven and Harrison. Daddy even came at the end to get some keys and say hi!! The girls got their faces painted like clowns. We left and when to Chick-fil-a to change clothes and to order some food to go. We met up with Joanna, Haven and Harrison at a park to eat lunch and play. The kids got along awesome!!! Having so much fun!! We left there and we came home. I cleaned up a little bit and then Alicia, Elizabeth, Olivia and Andrew came over to play and to hear about our trip. We got the playdoh out to play with and they swung a little bit and played with some other toys. We had a good visit!! We followed each other to kids choir at church and we helped all the kids make tambourine's for class. That was fun! Meagan and Natalie both like to sing in there!! They have a great time with Olivia, Andrew and Elizabeth to! After choir, we headed out and we came home. We told them bye and then I came in and started making some dinner. Daddy came home and ate dinner with us. We had a good evening together. What a week we had!! Love it!!!
