Monday, August 11th, Oma left early this morning for work in Houston. The girls, Opa and I ate breakfast and hung out in the morning. We got ready to go fishing. We all drove to Lady Bird Park to the water there to fish. Meagan and Natalie both got to experience catching a fish!!! They loved it!!! One of the best times of my life because I know they loved this experience so much! After we fished for a while, (we used worms to fish, I think Natalie liked playing with the worms more than fishing, it was cute) we went to a playground. The girls got to play a little and we all ate our lunch that we packed. It was actually a pretty nice day, still hot, but a little breeze. Next we decided to go to the library to check out some books. Then we went back to Oma and Opa's house. We just hung out there the rest of the day. Fun day!
Tuesday, we had breakfast and then got ready. The girls and I went into Fredericksburg and we walked on Main Street. We went to Dooley's and bought a couple of toys to play with. Ate lunch time, we went to Catfish Haven to eat. It was good! Then we went to Wal-Mart and looked around. Then we came back to Oma and Opa's and we rested for a little bit. Then Opa, the girls and I went to Lady Bird Park and we went swimming in the new pool. It was nice! We were probably only there for about an hour and then it started to thunder, so we all had to leave the pool. It was still fun getting to test out the new pool. We then went home to Oma and Opa's and we ate some supper.
Wednesday, Opa and I cooked some breakfast and then we got ready to go. We wanted to hike up Cross Mountain before it got too hot. So we got the girls and we drove to Cross Mountain. We hiked to the top with the girls and we got to look down onto Fredericksburg. It was pretty! Girls enjoyed chasing butterflies. We stayed up ther for a little while! Then we hiked back down and we went for a drive to see a new subdivision in Fredericksburg and see a yard that Heather was working on. Then we drove home to eat lunch. Then we played games and played with Barbies. Then we met up with Omie and Opie at Alamo Springs Cafe to eat dinner. They beat us there and had a table for us. The burgers were great and greasy. Loved getting to do something with Omie and Opie. After we ate, we went to see the bats fly out of the old train tunnel. There were tons of bats! The girls thought it was neat! We told Omie and Opie bye and as we were driving home, tons of bats were flying by us then too. It was funny! We drove home to Oma and Opa's.
Thursday, this morning we had a playdate with Hema, so we met up with Joyce and Hema at the Market Plaz Park. The girls remembered each other from Farren and Rosa's Wedding. They had fun playing together and I had fun catching up with Joyce. We all had a good time!! The girls got so dirty, it was funny! After we played there for a while, told them bye and then we went to a jewerly store to buy a gift for Oma, from Opa for her birthday. Then we went home to Oma and Opa's to eat some lunch. After lunch, the girls played in the sprinkler for just a little bit. Then I got them dressed and Opa came with us to the Wild Seed Farm and we found a couple of cute things for Alicia, Olivia, Elizabeth and Andrew. We then ran a couple of errands and then we went to Janet's, so Opa and the girls could get some hair cuts. I was good to see her, Virgil and Tyler. Afterwards, we went to eat dinner at Whataburger. Then we went back to Oma and Opa's house.
Friday, the girls and I got up and ready and we drove to San Antonio to Alicia's new house. The yard was huge and beautiful in the front and back. It is a really cute house!!! She was getting the flooring put in, so the kids mostly played outside, but we also played inside and ate lunch in there with towels on the floor. Alicia's mom stopped by too. Olivia and Elizabeth taught the girls two games to play, Bubblegum, Bubblegum in a Dish and then an Alphabet game. They all enjoyed sliding on their socks across the floor. We always have fun with this crew, no matter what we do!! We left around 3pm to get back to Fredericksburg, it was so good to see our friends!! We got back to Oma and Opa's and right after we got back, Oma came!!! Then we got ready to met up with Omie and Opie in town at Pasta Bella's to eat an early Birthday Dinner for Oma. It was pretty good and loved talking. What a great time in Fredericksburg.
Saturday, we packed up and Opa and Oma both followed me in seperate vehciles to Tara and Jason's house. They were packing up things because they were moving to an apartment while their new house is being built. We said bye to that house one last time!! Then Opa, Oma, Tara, Jason, the girls and I went to eat at Spring Hill Restuarant for Oma's birthday a day early. It was fun to visit!! After lunch, we told Opa, Tara and Jason bye and Oma followed me back to our house. Daddy was home when we got there and he was happy to see us!!! Daddy and I made a quick trip to Hobby Lobby and Oma stayed with the girls. Then we went back and spent the evening all together!!
Sunday, Oma's Birthday, we all went to church and then at 12:15pm we ate lunch at the church with other new Kindergarten parents because the girls were going to start DIG, so they each got a children's Bible and they showed us what room they would be in. I'm glad that we went! We went back home afterwards and we just played there. Oma played with them while I packed for Dallas. We ate Chinese Food for dinner for Oma's Birthday!! Good day! And awesome week!!
