Merry Christmas 2012
Thursday, Dec. 20th, I took the girls to school and I got some Christmas shopping done!! After school, we came home and I got the girls ready for their dance class. We went to their dance class and they had a practice session first and then the parents got to sit in the class and watch the kids do a little Christmas performance. Natalie and Meagan were so cute!! So funny to watch. They did really good!! They each had a small cupcake after that and then we took Rebecca and Evie to have a great Christmas and then we came home. Daddy came home and we took the girls to Toys-R-Us, so that Meagan could pick out toys for Natalie and Natalie could pick out some toys for Meagan. I took Meagan around and she found a Strawberry Shortcake and Team Umi Zooi Coloring book. Daddy took Natalie to look and she picked a school bus and some trains for Meagan. Then we went to Cracker Barrel to get LaLa's rocking chairs and then we went to get something to eat. We had a great time tonight!!
Friday, Daddy and I took the girls to school around 10am and then we watched their school's Christmas Program. It was really cute! Shaylee and Shelbee were in it to. Natalie and Meagan's class sang 'Go Tell It on the Mountain'. We could see Natalie really good because she was in the front, only saw Meagan a little bit because she was in the back row, but they both did a great job!! We love them so much!! After the program, Daddy said bye to us and he went to work, while we had some cookies. I took the girls to Panera Bread for lunch and then we came home and I packed up for Fredericksburg. We drove to LaLa's house and Daddy met us there. We headed to Fredericksburg, stopping to eat at KBOBS in Brenham and then we drove through Johnson City to look at their pretty city Christmas Lights and Meagan and I got out for a little bit to take a picture. We then made it to Oma and Opa's and we were all excited to see them!! Oma even let them open up one Christmas gift, they each got a robe to wear. Oma helped give them a bath and then they stayed up for a little while longer playing with Oma and Opa.
Saturday, I helped Oma with some cooking and we played with the girls. Oma let the girls open up another gift, she is so silly. This time it was cars. Tara and Jason were the first ones there. We were having Oma's side of the family over for lunch. We had Robert, Agnes, Stan, Janice, Betty Ann, Bernice, Hans, Farren, Blaine, Kenzlyn, Andrea, Huntleigh, Sandra, Curtis and Rihana over. It was nice to visit with everyone and talk about Andrea's wedding coming up. The girls enjoyed playing with Huntleigh and Kenzlyn. The girls even got some presents from Huntleigh, Betty Ann and Sandra. They got some fairies, books and outfits and a dream light ladybug. That was so nice!! We even got some pictures for the family out on the front porch. We had a great time with Oma's side of the family!! The next step was getting all the girls presents separated. Once we did that, we waited for Omie and Opie to come over to celebrate with us our little family Christmas. Once everyone was settled, the girls got to take turns opening up their presents from Mommy, Daddy, Tara, Jason, Oma and Opa. They got so many fun and neat things. They got play make-up, play clock, clothes and purple boots from Aunt Tara and Uncle Jason. Oma and Opa got them a kid CD player, school scrapbooks and other neat things. Mommy and Daddy got them some sticker books to play with, princess games, CD's that sing their name in them and other fun toys. They got to play with their toys for a bit and then we all sat down to eat some dinner together and talk to Omie and Opie. We had a good time. Then it was time for the adults to open their presents and of course the girls helped us. We had such a good time, even got to scratch some lottery tickets, but didn't win too much. Omie and Opie headed out and then we all got ready for bed. What a great day!!
Sunday, we all got ready to go to church!! We all got to church on time and Richard and Teresa sat by us. Opie was an usher, so we got to see him to!! And we waved to Cindy (her birthday today). After church, we walked over to the St. Joseph's hall and it was time for Omie's family Christmas party for lunch. We ate and visited and the girls had fun playing on the stage. Got to talk to Holly and Heather for a while and all the Aunts and Uncles. It was a good time. After that party, Omie's family left, so then it was just Opa's family their, so we could do our family Christmas party. All the kids wanted to go ice skating, so Oma, Bridges, Will, Luke, Asher, Natalie, Meagan and I walked over to Market Platz and I decided not to take the girls ice skating, there were too many people, it would have been hard. Tara, Jason, Richard, Dennis, Cindy and Ema came there to. I took a couple of pictures and then Tara, Jason, Oma and I took the girls to see all the Christmas decorations and then we walked on Main Street for a little bit because Jason wanted to buy the girls each a ball to play with. We had fun! Then Daddy met us when we were almost to the hall and we went back to visit with family and eat some pizza. The girls played some more and I got to visit a little bit and played Jenga with Sandra, Jason, Tara and Bridges. Bridges, Will and Luke played great with the girls, it was sweet. Then Opie handed out the gifts to the kids and the cards to all the adults. Then it was time to clean up! The girls even helped to sweep up! We had a great time! We said bye to everyone and then Daddy, the girls and I went driving to look at Christmas lights and found a house that had lights that danced to music. That was fun! Then we drove to Oma and Opa's house and got ready for bed and hung out a little bit. Natalie and Oma had on the same pj's, so we took a picture of them! Cute! We had a great day!!
Monday, Christmas Eve, we got up early, so we could start packing and we all ate breakfast together. It was a good way to start out the day. We loaded up and said bye to Tara, Jason, Oma and Opa! We had such a great time with them!! We got on the road and we stopped to eat in Bastrop for lunch at Carl's Jr and then we drove home. We unpacked and then had to pack again, that was kind of hard, but we got it done! Natalie wasn't feeling good, poor thing. We still went to church at our Methodist Church and it was the family and children service. It was so nice! Natalie slept the whole time, poor thing, we even let her bring her blanket into church. Meagan had fun singing all the songs with us!! It felt great to celebrate the birth of Jesus!! After church, we came home to load everything up to head over to LaLa's house where Bryan, Terrell and and LaLa were. We unpacked and then got the girls bathed and dressed in their Christmas pj's. We all went outside to put out some food for Santa's reindeer, it was cold. Then we put out some cookies, an apple and some milk for Santa to have when he stopped by. Then it was time to read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'. For the past three years I have read it to the girls, but this year I asked Aunt Terrell if she wanted to do it, change it up a little bit! They really liked it this year! Then it was time to go to bed, so that Santa would come visit us. I laid down with the girls and sang some songs with them and they finally went to sleep. Poor little Natalie had a fever, but she was feeling okay.
Tuesday, Christmas!!! Santa paid us a visit last night!!! He got the girls a huge Mario Cart race track with cars and also an Easel and he wrote on it!! He got Natalie an Ariel doll, some My Little Ponies, Legos, some little Strawberry Shortcake dolls and some fun drawing toys, plus tons of toys in her stocking. Santa gave Meagan a Snow White doll, Legos, a Thomas the Train with Remote, more trains and a Thomas case and tons of toys in her stocking. They had so much fun playing with their toys, especially the Mario Cart cars!! LaLa, Terrell and Bryan were there to to play. Around 11am, Celeste, Kelly, Cade and Hollan came over to celebrate Christmas. All the kids were playing with the toys Santa brought, they were having a blast and Natalie and Meagan were so happy to see Cade and Hollan!! We got some pictures taken by the Christmas tree with the kiddos. Then it was time for all the kids to open up their presents, they had such a fun time seeing what they got. Cade and Hollan got the girls each a book. Then they got bathtub painting sets, Dora and Princess Books with characters, a couple of games, more little dolls, a lalalopcey car with remote, Little People Princess Castle with the Princesses, Color Wonder fun, clothes, books, earrings from Africa, fur vest, Toy Story toys and characters, video games and all the Disney Princess Barbie Dolls!! I'm sure there was more because they got such fun things for Christmas!! Then all the kids ate at the breakfast table when they were done all the adults sat down and had a nice Christmas meal with wine and a gift for each person at the table. We had such yummy food!! What a great time with family! After lunch, we helped clean up a little bit and then Celeste and I went over to Jane's house with Margie to chat about Terrell's shower for a little bit. Margie, Morgan and Allison came over to LaLa's for a little bit and they brought the girls a present, they gave them some cute outfits. We visited with them for a little bit and then everyone took turns watching the kids because everyone wanted to take a little nap. Daddy played with Cade and the girls with the Mario Carts for a long time! Aunt Celeste had cupcakes for the kids to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. So each kid got a cupcake with a candle and we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and they blew out their candles. Cute idea!! Late that afternoon, it was the adults turn to have our Christmas, Meagan helped us open our gifts. We had a good time seeing what everyone got and LaLa loved her rocking chairs. We all spent the evening relaxing and visiting.
Wednesday, we all got up and Daddy and LaLa went to work. The rest of us ate some breakfast and then we started packing. We waited on Daddy a little bit and then Daddy, the girls, Bryan and I got into the truck and then Terrell, Celeste, Kelly, Hollan and Cade got into their car and we headed toward Lufkin for yet another Christmas, ha! We all stopped in Trinty at Dairy Queen to eat lunch, that was fun to all go there together. Then we left and got to Lufkin. We went straight to Grammie's house to have Christmas with Grammie, Dana, Sam (Dana's boyfriend) and Cody. Oh my goodness, Grammie got the girls so much!!! She told us to come with empty trunks and she wasn't lying!! Cade, Meagan, Natalie and Hollan were having a blast! Cade got an awesome Batman Chair as one of his presents!! The girls got beautiful bean bag chairs, like what Grammie has, they got a play school set, a marble game, clothes, coats, dresses, books signed by the authors, dress magnetic dolls, Disney Princess barbies and the castle doll house that goes with them, Thomas the Train with tracks, just all sorts of cool things. Then we had the adult Christmas with Cody, Dana and Grammie. We had a great time!! We visited for a while after that and got organized! Then we went to meet all of the Carter's side of the family at the seafood place in town. It was Granny, Carolyn, Mike, Chris, Katrina, Dan, Barbara, Adam, Jason, Nicole, Claire, Lila, Jenny, Ryan, Caroline, Charlie, Charlotte, Grammie, Dana, Sam, Cody, Celeste, Terrell, Kelly, Bryan, Cade, Hollan and of course Natalie, Meagan, Daddy and Mommy. We had a full back room, which worked out great because then the kids got to run around while we ate! We had a great time visiting talking about Terrell's wedding coming up and Adam's wedding coming up. Daddy's Aunts and Granny gave the girls some presents, but we didn't open them there. After we visited for a little bit, then we said our goodbyes and then some of us went to Dana's house to see it for the first time and to visit and open up some presents from Grandad, but he was working, so he wasn't there. The girls also got ponies from Aunt Barbara and then beads to make jewelry from Granny and Aunt Carolyn. We had a good time! Then it was getting late, so we took the girls to Grammie's and got them ready for bed. The girls were going to sleep with Grammie, but the dogs were keeping them awake. Natalie was still sick, so she decided to come sleep with Daddy and me. Meagan stayed with Grammie to sleep with her. Grammie said she kept snuggling!! Great Christmas!
