Thursday, August 15th, I got the girls up and dressed and we played at home for a little bit. Then we headed out towards Waco and we ate lunch at Cracker Barrel and we found two more Beanie Boos, the turkey and a wolf. They were excited to get them. The turkey was Meagan's first, but then they switched because Natalie wanted the turkey. Too Funny! Natalie likes to trick Meagan like that, so she can get the one she wants. She is so funny! We then headed to the Waco Children's Museum and we met up with Alicia, Olivia, Elizabeth and Andrew. We loved this museum, so neat and so much to do and see!! We went in every room and played and had such a fun time!! We even did an extra exhibit that did different things about fear. All the kids liked the slow motion video. There was a falling thing, that made you fall backwards and Alicia did it first, and then we asked the kids and nobody did it except for Meagan and then I went after Meagan. It was fun! Then Meagan volunteered for a lady to monitor her heartbeat when she heard a loud noise. We had such a good time!! Time is always spent better when you are with friends! :) We then headed out after we went to the gift shop and I got each kid a bracelet. We followed them back home. It was a great day! Daddy came home later and we got to tell him all about it!! We love telling him about our many adventures!!
Friday, the girls and I went to the grocery store early and then we came back home to change into our swimsuits. We went to Thomas Pool to meet up with Julie and her kiddos and Alicia and her kiddos. We all ate lunch there and then we swam for about two hours together. I really like that pool, always so much fun!! Natalie hung out with Alicia for a little bit, so Meagan and I swam a lap together, lol! All the kids loved going down the slide! We then told everyone bye and we came home and changed. As soon as we changed, Oma and Opa pulled up in the driveway!! :) We let them get settled and rest a little and Oma told us that she passed her insurance test, yay!! After we relaxed a little, we played outside with the girls. They wanted to ride their bikes, so we rode them around the park and Oma and Opa walked with us. Then we played basketball and played at the park. We had a good time! Then we came inside and Opa went to get Chicken for us to eat tonight. Daddy came home and ate dinner with us. We all visited and relaxed for a nice evening.
Saturday, Oma's birthday, we just hung out and the girls played with Oma and Opa. We made Oma a birthday cake, a strawberry one with strawberry icing and chocolate chips in the icing, yum!! The girls really enjoyed licking the bowl. Then we made baked potatoes for lunch with BBQ and LaLa came over to say hi and tell Oma Happy Birthday. She also got Oma a bracelet. We all ate lunch together and we sang happy birthday to her and we all had some of the cake we made. It was yummy! Then Oma went shopping and Opa stayed around the house working on our bushes outside and then Daddy and I took Meagan and Natalie to the Natural Museum of History for Tyler and Trevor's birthday party. They got to see reptiles and they got to learn about Dinosaurs. They even decorated a dinosaur and dug for dinosaurs in sand. They had some cake and punch and then went on a scavenger hunt and then it was time to go. It was a cute party!! When we got back home, Tara and Jason were there with Opa and then Oma came a little bit later. The girls played with Tara and Jason and then it was time to go out to eat for Oma's birthday. We all followed each other to Napa Flats to eat and it was super yummy. Oma and the girls got some ice cream. Then we headed out to the Bowling Alley and we played some games and we all got to bowl together. We were having a great time, so much fun that Meagan got upset when the light went off in our lane, meaning we had to stop bowling. She did not like that!! It was a really good time with family for sure!! We came home and Oma got to open her presents from everyone and we all had some cheese cake. The girls got to sleep in their playroom on an air mattress and they were so excited about that, that it was hard for them to fall asleep. We had such a good day!
Sunday, I woke up and found Tara, Jason, Opa and Oma sitting outside having coffee because it felt so good out there. The girls were still sleeping. They came outside with us after they got up. We all had donuts for breakfast and we all got dressed and ready. We played in the house and then Jason, Opa, Daddy, myself, Tara and the girls all went over to the basketball court to play soccer and basketball. We found out later that Jason got into some poison ivy over there. We did have fun over there though. We came back inside and then Oma took Natalie with her shopping and Meagan stayed with all of us and Jason would throw her in the air. Natalie came back with another beanie boo and some color wonder coloring sheets. Everyone headed out after that and we all said our goodbyes!! We had such a good time with everyone. We sure do miss them when they are gone! A little while later, Celeste stopped by to pick up Daddy to go to Grandad's place. We stayed home and I cleaned and then I took the girls over to LaLa's house to visit with her, Kelly, Cade and Hollan. We all went swimming together. And we had a good time! Kelly made us some hamburgers and when they were ready Celeste and Daddy were there. We all ate and talked about doing Galveston next weekend. We had a great weekend!
Monday, we played at home in the morning and then I picked up some Chick-fil-a and we drove to LaLa's to eat lunch there. We saw LaLa for a little bit and then Daddy came to say hi and eat his lunch. Then I took the girls over to Crystal's house to meet the new baby, Carlee. The girls got to play with Caden and his toys. I got to hold her for a long time, she was a very sweet baby!! We stayed for a while, so while the kids played, Crystal and I got to catch up!! We had fun!! Then it was time to head out and we drove to get gas and went through the carwash, which Meagan still isn't sure about. We came home and they rode their bikes. Daddy came home later and spent some time with them before bed tonight.
Tuesday, I took the girls to school and today is their last class with Ms. Lucy as their teacher. They have had her for 2 years!! I went to their school early today for their end of the summer party and I helped pass out food. Natalie had gotten her hand painted and Meagan got her cheek painted. Abigail was in their class today for the party, so that was a good goodbye for them and their friend, all their little friends!! They start Pre-K this next week!! I took the girls with me and we went to Dairy Queen, so I could eat lunch and they each got a milkshake. We then went to the store and then we came home to play and to clean up their playroom. We played with Stamps a lot today, which was fun! When Daddy got home, he read them the book he made of some beanie boos and his Chicago trip and they played some card games. We had a good day!
Wednesday, we met up with Julie, Saddie, Addison, Maegan, Alicia, Olivia, Elizabeth, Andrew, Marcy, Katie and Brady at Blue Baker for a tour of their bakery in the back. All the kids and Julie and I even got to decorate our own dough with chocolate chips or raisins or cranberries for them to make and for us to pick it up later. They even gave us free Chocolate chip cookies to eat. It was a neat experience for sure!! I'm so glad we got to do it! Marcy headed out, but the rest of us wanted to still hang out, so we went to a park to play for a little while and then at 11am we all went to Lupe Tortilla to sit outside by the sand to eat and for the kids to play. The adults actually got to talk!! The kids were acting like they were at the bakery, making bread! That was pretty neat! We stayed there until a little after one. We said bye to Julie and her crew and then the rest of us went to Barnes and Nobles to look at books and play. It felt good to cool off from being outside. After Barnes and Nobles, we all went back to Blue Baker to pick up our bread. It was super yummy!! Then we said bye to Alicia and her crew and then we came home to play and got to tell Daddy about our day when he got home!! :)
