Happy New Year 2014 in Park City Utah!!

Thursday, Dec. 26th, I finished packing for Fredericksburg and packed some for my ski trip.  Then we straightened the house a little bit and ate some lunch.  We told Daddy bye and then the girls and I rode with Oma and Opa back to Fredericksburg, but not without stopping to buy a stuffed animal at Buccee's first.  We hit the road again and we found out that Baby Otto had passed away this morning.  We were all so sad!!!  I started to get a fever blister right away after hearing about Otto.  I have been so stressed with worrying about Otto, Christmas and our ski trip, that after hearing about Otto, I just couldn't handle the stress anymore, so I got a huge fever blister.  We finally got to Oma and Opa's and Opie was there feeding the cows, so we got to say hi to him.  We unloaded everything at Oma and Opa's house and then we just relaxed the rest of the night.
Friday, we just all hung out at Oma and Opa's house, Oma worked in the morning and then came home around lunch time.  She had decided to quit her job, so she can see us more!  We all had lunch at home and just relaxed there.  Tara and Jason came in the late afternoon, so we got to visit with them.  We all watched some TV and hung out.

Saturday, we hung out in the morning together and Jason shot a deer, so him and my dad cleaned that all morning and then it was time to go to Omie's side of the family Christmas party.  We ate lunch and visited with family.  We got to visit all day.  Daddy ended up coming close to when that party was over and then it was going to just be Omie and Opie's family.  Holly and her family were not there, Jazz wasn't there, Heather and South weren't there, Kris, Matthew, Sarah weren't there.  So we were missing quite a few family members.  I would love if one year everyone would get to come together like the old days!!  We still had a fun time visiting and the girls loved playing with Bridges, Ema and Asher on the stage.  Ema and Asher made everyone bracelets with a bracelet maker they got for Christmas.  We played some dominos and then it was time to head to Oma and Opa's house.  We watched a little bit of a movie there and then we all got ready for bed.  Good day (still have my huge fever blister, it was really bad today).
Sunday, we hung out in the morning with family and then after breakfast we loaded up our truck and we told everyone goodbye and that we loved them!  We headed home and unpacked and did some laundry.  Then we had to do our packing for our Park City, Utah trip with Daddy's family.  We did that all day!

Monday, Daddy went to work for a little bit and I loaded up and got the girls ready for the trip today.  Daddy came home and we grabbed some lunch at Whataburger and then we drove to the airport in Houston.  We parked and then we rode the shuttle to the airport and we waited for our plane.  Our flight wasn't until 6pm, so 5pm Utah time, the flight took about 3 hours and 30 mins, so we landed around 8:30 Utah time in Salt Lake City.  The girls were about to drive me crazy on that air flight, they got up to use the restroom twice and they constantly wanted something, but we made it and that is all that matters.  By the time we got our luggage and our rental car, it was after 9pm.  The girls were excited to see the snow and touch it right away.  We stopped at Wendy's to get a late dinner to eat in Park City at our house.  Kelly, Hollan and Cade were already asleep, but Celeste, Terrell and Bryan were still awake.  The house was really nice, great for us.  We got the bunk bed room.  We fed the girls and then Terrell helped us get them ready for bed, while we unpacked a little bit.  I slept on the top bunk with Natalie and Daddy on the bottom with Meagan.

Tuesday, New Years Eve, early in the morning a guy came to bring us skis to try on and everything that comes with them.  We ate breakfast and then Daddy took the girls to ski school with Kelly, Celeste, Terrell, Bryan and Cade.  Terrell and Bryan were taking some ski lessons and Kelly was going skiing by himself and Cade, Natalie and Meagan were going to ski school to learn how to ski.  I stayed at the house with Hollan and watched her while they did that and Celeste came back after she dropped with off at the lodge.  Then Daddy came back and him and I got dressed in ski clothes, so we could go watch the girls in ski school, skiing for the first time and then Daddy and I did a little skiing ourselves and we ate lunch overlooking the bunny slopes.  That was nice!  I only fell once getting off the lift the first time.  Then after we skied for a little bit, we went to watch the girls in ski school again for a little bit and it even started snowing on us.  It was so neat!!  The girls seemed to enjoy it, but I know they were tired!!  It was then time to pick them up from ski school at 4pm, so we met up with Terrell, Bryan and Kelly there.  We got the kiddos and Natalie and Meagan were so tired!!  They were whining, but I don't blame them, they did a lot for their first day in the snow and we got in so late last night.  Celeste, Daddy and the kids all rode in Celeste's rental car to where we had parked at the high school (we had to ride a shuttle earlier because there wasn't any parking).  Then they came back to pick up Kelly, Terrell, Bryan and me.  We all got back to the house and LaLa was there.  She had made it safely.  Dinner was ready, Celeste had made Chicken and Dumplings, yum!  LaLa had brought a bunch of New Years gear for us and the kids, so the kids had fun playing with all the noise makers.  We celebrated New Years with them early, so they could enjoy it.  Then we all ate dinner and we got them ready for bed.  Then a couple of us, even Hollan stayed up to celebrate our New Years together.  We had some Champagne and Hollan had some Ginger Ale.  We had fun watching the Aggies play Duke in the Chick-fil-a bowl, good game.

Wednesday, New Years Day, LaLa said that she would watch Hollan, Natalie and Meagan today while the rest of us went skiing.  She walked with them behind the house to make snow angels and Meagan even got to ride on a neighbors sled.  She said they had a good time!  While they were there, Daddy, Terrell, Bryan, Kelly, Celeste, Cade and I skied on the little slopes and then we took pictures at the top of the bunny slopes.  Then we skied down and we all rode the lifts to the top of the mountain to the Summit Restaurant and we ate lunch there.  Cade was doing awesome skiing with us.  I was very impressed!!  We then all skied down together a little bit.  Cade was tired and wanted to rest, so Kelly and Celeste stayed with him, while the rest of us skied down on the Greens.  Daddy tried a silly stunt and ended up busting it.  It was pretty funny!  We skied all the way down the mountain and then I headed out to get LaLa, Hollan, Natalie and Meagan from the house ( I also went to the grocery store before that).  When I got to the house, LaLa told me that Meagan had fallen from the top bunk on the bunk beds, so I was concerned about Meagan.  She was saying her tummy hurt.  We got all the kids dressed in ski clothes and then we all rode together to the lodge and met up with Terrell, Bryan and Daddy.  Meagan was acting herself now, so we felt a little better about her.  Then Daddy and I took the girls on an Alpine Coaster.  It was pretty cool.  Meagan and I rode together and Daddy and Natalie rode together.  It was a lot of fun!!!  Then we met up with everyone else afterwards and we got everyone loaded into the cars, girls were whining again and tired.  Terrell and Bryan rode a bus to Main Street and walked back to the house.  We all got back to the house and then LaLa made the kids some Mac'n'cheese and then Celeste made some Chili and we also had cabbage and black eyed peas with that.  Everything was really good!  Meagan was being herself, so she was okay, thank goodness!!!  Terrell and Bryan gave the girls their Christmas Presents and Kelly and Celeste also gave Natalie and Meagan a couple of presents and a Bunny Beanie Boo.  They got to play with everything and then we all kind of went to bed early.  Daddy and I did get in the hot tub for a little bit after dinner.  It felt so nice and the stars were beautiful!  Love getting into a hot tub and then there is snow right by you!! :)  Happy New Year!!!
